Coastal Dance Centre students receive the highest level of training and performance opportunities that is taught by a line-up of highly trained and experienced faculty. It is a dance school unlike any other you will find in the Grand Strand area.

Excellent Ballet Training Program - Coastal Dance Centre is the premiere classical ballet training school in the Grand Strand area. At CDC, the emphasis is on classical ballet training. Ballet trains the body carefully, developing correct technique, strength, control, coordination and line. A sound ballet technique provides our students an easy transition into other forms of dance.

Affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance - The training program of the Coastal Dance Centre Ballet classes uses the Syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) of London, an internationally recognized training program that is taught by certified Royal Academy of Dance teachers.

Small Class Sizes - Our class sizes are small enough that students benefit from more individualized attention and help the students clearly understand the training concepts.

Dance Studio Floor Advantage - CDC studios have the "floating" sprung professional dance floors that rest on a system of high density foam to absorb the shock and impact of regular dance movement. This benefits our students by reducing fatigue and preventing injury that can result from dancing on hard surfaces.

* Baby Ballet, Ballet-Tap Combo, RAD Ballet Classes, Open Ballet Technique for Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels
* Jazz - Grade 2 and higher level, Kids, Teens
* Hip Hop - Lil Peeps, Pre-Teens and Teens
* Musical Theater - Kids, Teens
* Tap - Pre-Primary, Primary, Grade 1 and higher level
* Tumble - 3 and up

Superb Performance Opportunities - Performing on stage is essential to a dancer's training. CDC students have the opportunity to be highlighted in the annual " The Spring Festival of Dances" production. CDC higher level students who wish to have further opportunities to perform on stage may become members of CDC's performing company, the Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre (CYBT) which produces "The Nutcracker," and "An Evening of Ballet Series."

Competition Opportunities - For higher level students, Coastal Dance Centre offers the opportunity to train for the Youth America Grand Prix, an international student ballet / contemporary competition, and the South Carolina State Dance Championship Competition.
