Liza Mata
Artistic Director and Ballet Faculty

Liza Mata believes in and appreciates the essential value of quality education in all the
arts. In her more than thirty years of teaching dance she has trained a great number of
students who are now making careers as dance professionals and serving as
enthusiastic ambassadors of dance.

Liza had her formal dance training and performing experience in the Philippines and was
Director of two dance studios for nearly thirty years before her family's relocation to the
States in 2002. Liza is a certified teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and takes great
pride in the outstanding marks of her students in the annual RAD examinations. She has
attended teacher training seminars, RAD Teachers' refresher courses, dance festivals
and competitions in the US, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
